Partial Panel Paint - 12 November 2009
When selecting a partial panel to be painted, the time and paint and materials costs, including clearcoat are specifically for the selected section.
In the example shown, if the section below the window and above the door moulding (Section 2) is selected for painting then the labour time, paint and materials and clearcoat is automatically calculated for Section 2 only.
Clearcoat to cover the entire door (panel) will not be calculated.
If the damage requires a repair in section 2 but the entire surface area of the door requires application of clearcoat select <50% or >50% depending on the size of the prepared area of the repair for the complete panel. The correct time, paint and materials, including clearcoat will be automatically calculated.
If section 2 (in the example below) requires application of colour but clearcoat needs to be applied to the entire panel then select to Blend and Paint the complete door. The correct labour time, paint and materials, including clearcoat will be automatically calculated.

If there is a requirement to paint any two of the sections, selecting to paint the entire panel is more cost effective.
AZT Statement:
"For parts with two or more paint zones (requiring painting) always use the value for the complete part"
