Audatex improves assessing and auditing with new training for motor engineers
25th February 2010
With an ever-increased emphasis on the efficiency of working practices throughout the motor claims and repair industry, Audatex UK has announced the launch of two new training courses for field-based and internal motor engineers responsible for vehicle damage assessment and authorisation.
In response to customer demand, the Certificate in Audatex Assessment Audit and Certificate in Audatex Assessment Construction and Audit courses have been designed to improve the understanding of the broad functionality available within the AudaEnterpriseGold estimating system and to develop the necessary skills to construct and audit Audatex assessments. The new courses mirror the training programmes delivered to Audatex’ bodyshop customers, enabling consistent knowledge and use of the system throughout the repair assessment and authorisation process.
The new one-day courses build upon delegates’ existing knowledge and cover the process of constructing assessments for field engineers, and auditing assessments for internal engineers. Particular focus is placed on understanding the vehicle data and repair methods information available using the AudaEnterpriseGold system. Both courses include an assignment and, subject to completing and passing the course, each engineer is certificated as achieving the level of competency in Audatex Assessment Audit or Audatex Assessment Construction and Audit, as appropriate.
The courses are offered as company-specific programmes or as open training sessions for independent engineers or delegate groups from smaller companies. The latter is a recent development introduced to assist insurers and independent engineering companies in maintaining their staff development commitments whilst minimising any potential disruption to their business.
Stewart Myles, Head of Crash Repair and Training, Audatex UK says, “Our new training programme is flexible in its approach and meets the specific needs of field engineers and internal engineers. It helps to ensure that our system is utilized effectively whether creating an assessment or auditing one. By investing in our training programmes, Audatex aims to benefit everyone involved in the motor claims process by producing comprehensive assessments that are right first time, ensuring faster approval, improved throughput and reduced cycle times.”
