New course content demonstrates value of Audatex Certification training

17th March 2016

Recent delegate feedback has shown that Audatex UK’s refreshed Certification training course is enabling attendees to return to the bodyshop with increased knowledge and confidence to create more accurate estimates. Over 300 delegates have attended the new certification course which was implemented at the start of January 2016; who have given an overall average rating of 9.23 out of 10.00 for the day.

The course provides Audatex system users with annual certification with content reviewed each year to ensure it reflects the ever-changing vehicle technologies and repair methodologies. New for 2016 the course includes a comprehensive review of the safety-related aspects of vehicle damage assessment; utilising Thatcham Integrated Methods, alongside the invaluable data published by the vehicle manufacturers.

Rather than simply testing delegates’ individual skills, the course aims to develop learning and existing knowledge. Delegates undertake a test Audatex assessment which uses newly sourced images of a damaged vehicle, requiring delegates to assimilate their day’s learning to produce a comprehensive, methods-based vehicle damage assessment.

“With the speed that vehicles and technology changes in our industry, it’s essential to attend Audatex Certification every year,” said Paul Harrington, ATA Vehicle Damage Assessor, Heritage Bodyshop, Dorchester. “I benefit from new information each time I take the training; learning not just from the trainer, but also others on the course. I know that my knowledge is as current as possible and gives me the confidence to justify all of my estimates”.

“Delegate feedback on the day forms a crucial part of the way in which all Audatex training courses are developed and updated,” said Stewart Myles, Head of Crash Repair, Audatex UK. “We aim to ensure everyone leaves our courses having benefited from as much information as possible and recent feedback demonstrates our customers are being shown the most effective way of using the system by the training team.”
