SOLERA AUDATEX OFFERS ITS BODYSHOP IMAGE CAPTURE SOLUTION FREE OF CHARGE TO ALL REPAIRERS FROM MAY – SEPTEMBER 2020, SUPPORTING THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY POST LOCK-DOWN
Audatex Bodyshop Image Capture solution allows repairers to work and interact with customers, while social distancing, in a digital first, contactless way.
11/05/2020, Bracknell – Audatex, part of Solera Holdings, Inc., a global leader in risk and asset management data and software solutions for the insurance and automotive industries, today announced its mobile Bodyshop Image Capture solution will be offered completely free of charge, to all repairers from May 1st – September 30th, 2020.
As the UK slowly begins to emerge from lock-down, communities and businesses are having to adapt to the new normal. Social distancing has already and will continue to have a huge impact on the way business will need to operate going forward. Using Audatex’ Bodyshop Image Capture solution will allow bodyshop users to interact with customers, in a digital first, contactless way.
Audatex Bodyshop Image Capture is an intelligent web application, delivering smart images that give the repairer valuable insight into the vehicle’s condition before it even arrives on site.
Audatex Bodyshop Image Capture enables repairers to send their customers a SMS request for images of their vehicle’s condition and damage, via their smartphone. Customers receiving an Image Capture request are guided by an intuitive online process to capture the required images, with no app download required. Upon return of images from the customer, the bodyshop receives an email notification and can instantly access the images provided via their Audaenterprisegold assessments or via the secure user interface, to begin triage immediately with increased accuracy.
In a world where visiting the customer may be unsafe, image capture allows bodyshops to practise social distancing, while gaining the necessary information from the driver. This allows them to begin the damage estimation process, gain early repair authorisation and pre-order required parts, all before the vehicle has arrived on site. Once the bodyshop site has visibility of the vehicle and the condition, the repairer can then make informed decisions on how best to arrange safe delivery or collection of the vehicle to begin the repair.
To support its customers on the path to recovery, Audatex are offering this service to all repairers, completely free of charge from May 1st to September 30th, 2020.
Commenting on the announcement, David Shepherd, Regional Managing Director, Solera, “As we start to emerge from lock-down, we expect to see a gradual increase in volumes across our market. We know the road to recovery will be far from easy for many of our customers. As we all need to adapt our working practises, to keep our team members and the public safe, we will be working in a new socially distanced, responsible way. We hope that by offering all our customers our Bodyshop Image Capture solution completely free of charge for the next five months, we are giving them the necessary tools and support needed to navigate through the next phase of this global crisis.”
