Five Minutes With Georgie Ford: Employee of the year 2017

Georgie Ford, Junior Project Manager at Audatex UK

Employee of the year 2017, Georgie has been a part of the Audatex team for over five years. Georgie began her time at Audatex as Sales Admin and quickly progressed to Commercial Admin, she then spent 18 months in Implementation Support, before recently taking on her next mission as Operations Junior Project Manager.

What do you like about working at Audatex?
I like the variety that the role brings and the constant ability to keep in touch with the wider business, as we work so collaboratively. The people within Audatex are also very approachable and friendly at all levels of seniority, which is great.
It’s also a very supportive environment. Every individual is recognised for their contribution to the business and there are a lot of opportunities for reward and recognition from the team.

What support have you received from your line managers?
When I first joined, I took part in the HR training initiative and completed an Excel training course, which was really valuable to me. Audatex is very willing to invest and put the time into its associates.

I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to grow and learn on the job, which is exactly what I will be doing in my new role. There is always the opportunity to study and expand your professional skills. Audatex is good at offering initiatives to those who show commitment to the business and are looking to grow. For example, I will be taking part in the new EMEA Business School in 2019, a wider Solera initiative which focuses on how to efficiently manage a team.

What are your current career goals?
My immediate goals are to grow my skills as a project manager. My long-term goals, I’m honestly not so sure. I am still working on these with Audatex and my line manager, but what’s amazing about the company is that there will always be new opportunities and projects, to be involved in, to progress my career. I have an open dialogue with my current line manager where all opportunities are discussed and when new challenges and opportunities arise, these are flagged to me.

What would you say to someone considering a career at Audatex?
I would say to come in ready for a challenge and be willing to get involved with all areas of the business. It will be a steep learning curve, but you will be supported by the team at every step of the way and the rewards are there for those who rise to the challenge!
